New work on display at Armory Art Center

Art can be used for entertainment or educational purposes; but it can be especially valuable when used to help people. Through July 23, the Armory Art Center is featuring work from its Art of the Phoenix outreach program, designed to help youths in trauma recovery with art classes and counseling techniques. You won’t find artists’ names or titles on these works, but it’s a special show that brings to mind the healing power of art!

Art of the Phoenix: On display through July 23. Gallery is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Armory Art Center, 811 Park Pl., West Palm Beach. Info: 561-832-1776 or www.armoryart.org.
