Broadway shows, senior entertaining and silent movies established

EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Columbia County Undertaking Arts Center and Nederlander Nationwide Markets announce the Broadway musicals “Anastasia” and “Fiddler on the Roof” will start their tours in the not long ago opened facility.

They’ll anchor the inaugural 2021-22 Broadway Columbia County period introduced by Gerald Jones Car Group.

Shows and general performance dates:

  • “Anastasia,” Oct. 15 at 8 p.m.
  • “Fiddler on the Roof,” Oct. 26, 7:30 p.m.
  • “Rent,” Feb. 7, 7:30 p.m.
  • “Cats,” April 12-13, 7 p.m.

Seniors get a entertaining day in Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. – On Aug. 27, the metropolis of Aiken will host a Senior Exciting Day at the Lessie B. Selling price, Aiken Senior Youth Center, 841 Edgefield Ave. NW.

Senior grown ups ages 50 and more mature are invited to this picnic-themed luncheon from noon to 3 p.m.

There will be foods, bingo and a traditional film. Meals and drink will be provided.

Sign up in man or woman at the Lessie B. Cost Aiken Senior & Youth Centre, Weeks Middle, or Smith-Hazel Recreation Heart. Registration finishes Aug. 20, 2021. 

Cost is $5 for each individual.

Sacred Coronary heart to host 2 times of silent movies

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Join silent film fanatics to love the silver monitor as soon as once again at Sacred Heart Cultural Heart.

The movies arrive alive with theater organ music by Ron Carter.

The Sept. 24 element film is the 1927 silent comedy “The Child Brother.”

The Sept. 25 matinee will aspect Laurel & Hardy’s “Big Business” Buster Keaton in “Neighbors” and Harold Lloyd in “High & Dizzy.”
